When they were challenged by historians that this can’t be true because the number of people who collectively went through the camp, were not even close to this number ….
after much pressure from historians and academics, and being presented with facts, Auschwitz’s changed the number on the plaque to 1,100,000 only (later it was confirmed the number was even less)
They changed the numbers, after 30 years of receiving compensated from Germany, on behalf of nearly 3,000,000 Jewish victims that never existed!
